Introduction
During the past fifty years, EEL developed and provided technologies of coal, mining industry, geothermal energy, renewable energy, energy conservation and water resources, industrial safety and health, and environmental protection technologies at the right moment, following in the footsteps of Taiwan economic development. EEL’s tremendous efforts in the study of energy, resources, and environment was a great contribution in promoting industrial development in Taiwan.
In the 21st century, human race will face the facts of gradual shortage of natural resources and predicament of environment pollution. The supply and demand of energy, water and food will be challenged severely in the future, and the mission of EEL will be, therefore, even more difficult.
EEL will exploit momentarily the boundary of energy and environment, develop relative technology with discretion and sincerity, extend consistent attitude with perseverance, advance with time, and showcase precisely specialized and diversified patterns. By means of distinguished talents, prospective planning and global cooperation, EEL expects to set up outstanding strategies of technology innovation, product development and patent deployments, and to develop first-grade practical technology. Besides providing persistently high-quality, high-value industrial knowledge services in the future, EEL, under the new economic age, will maintain continuously the new turning point of energy, resource, and environment technologies in Taiwan.
