ITRI UK Delegation visited AMRC (Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre) in May, 2023.
As a pioneer in Taiwan's industrial sector, the British Office Taipei invited Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) to visit the UK and explore potential collaborations. In the face of the global net-zero emissions trend, industries and businesses in both sides are embracing the net-zero transition to respond to the international carbon neutrality trend. In recent years, Taiwan and the UK have been actively promoting decarbonization and investing heavily in developing hydrogen and low-carbon energy technologies, with clean energy as the core of our development.
ITR delegation visited the UK from May 20th to May 27th, 2023. The main focus of this trip is Net Zero, covering the development of technologies and policy advocacy that related to Net-Zero Emissions, Silicon Photonics, Semiconductors. In addition to gaining an understanding of the energy and technological innovation initiatives in the UK, we also explored potential areas and models for future collaboration between Taiwan and the UK. The delegation visited with 16 government agencies, Cambridge University, ARM UK, Compound Semiconductor Applications Catapult, and Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, among others, which led to fruitful exchanges and results.
