Laser 3D Measurement Technology.
The machining industry currently lacks on-line 3D quality inspection technology. Workpieces therefore need to be transported to the inspection room for off-line coordinate measuring machine (CMM) measurements, which is both time-consuming and labor- intensive. To overcome factory temperature drift, ITRI has developed a laser 3D scanning system which also supports multi-axis and high- speed scanning to capture high-quality 3D point clouds. The resulting workpiece data facilitates the automated procedure, process parameter corrections and quality control inspection. The technology offers a highly flexible and efficient production and quality inspection solution.
