同步國際單位制新定義。

全球普遍使用的標準度量衡系統「國際單位制」,影響全球98% 的生產總值。該系統於2018 年出現重大變革,四個基本單位:質量(kg)、電流(A)、熱力學溫度(K)、物量(mol),改以自然界的物理常數重新定義,計量標準不再因時因地改變,諾貝爾獎得主菲利普斯稱此次變革為「自法國大革命以來最偉大的度量衡革命」。

特色與創新

工研院為因應國際單位制之重新定義,建置系統以量子計量技術實現新標準,讓量測標準接軌國際,如X 光晶體密度法,實現新公斤定義,追溯至普朗克常數;聲學氣體溫度計、絕對輻射溫度計,實現新克耳文定義,追溯至波茲曼常數;約瑟夫森電壓及量化霍爾電阻標準,追溯至基本電荷之新安培標準;同位素比例量測技術,追溯至亞佛加厥常數之新物量標準。
