LED可見光通訊技術

技術簡介

 光世代來臨,使得具有光源的地方,即可進行定位與通訊。

工研院投入LED可見光通訊(Visible Light Communication,VLC)之研發,結合現行照明用白光LED元件,可透過FTTH光接取網路整合於室內當作另一種無線通訊用網路系統。LED通訊系統亦可與電力線通訊系統進行整合應用,無須額外建構新網路架構,且LED通訊本身具有網路安全性(傳輸距離較短)、無電磁輻射、隔絕性佳且無需使用頻帶證照等優勢,可提供高頻寬且穩定的通訊傳輸。

特色與創新

本技術開發之可見光室內定位系統,除了照明之外,可即時透過光ID技術精準定位載具或人員位置。

應用與效益

LED可見光通訊系統的潛在應用市場廣泛,除可做為室內無線AP用於居家,辦公室,機場,會議廳等室內場合,也可應用於視訊會議系統和潛水通訊等,資訊與通訊研究所規劃透過橫、縱向連結不同產業進行跨界合作,創造軟硬體整合之商務服務價值鏈,期望開創可見光通訊之產業新浪潮。
