Technology Overview
Sunlight Heat-Ray Reflection Fibers clothes.
Sunlight near-infrared (NIR) accounts for 51% of sunlight's total energy and is the primary heat-ray of sunlight. ITRI has developed NIR heat-ray reflective textiles, which incorporates NIR heat-ray reflective materials into fibers. These fibers effectively reflect NIR heat-ray of sunlight, promoting healthy and comfortable outdoor wear during the sweltering summer heat.
Applications & Benefits
The NIR heat-ray reflective materials are utilized for textile coatings, film laminates, wet-spinning fibers, and melt-spinning fibers. Our manufacturing process involves material modification (making it wash durable), superior to the commercial processes (making it without wash durability). In NIR heat-ray reflection tests, this textile exhibited lower temperatures than commercially available products.
