VOC-3R System
ITRI has developed an innovative system for recovering volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in manufacturing processes that use organic solvents. Traditional VOC emission treatment methods often lead to air pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and acid-base liquid waste. In contrast, ITRI’s VOC-3R System efficiently purifies solvents for reuse and converts by-products into organic chemical raw materials, achieving zero direct carbon emissions.

The system boasts an overall reuse rate exceeding 99% and significantly reduces the cost of purchasing organic solvents. This system is ideal for industries such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, and coatings and was among the winners of the 2023 R&D 100 Awards.
