Waste Pollution Identification and Rapid Screening Technology
ITRI has proposed a new on-site river remediation solution for long-term wastewater pollution. Its Waste Pollution Identification and Rapid Screening Technology has accelerated waste classification and recovery, shortening classification time from two weeks to under one hour. The solution greatly improves the efficiency of recycling valuable metals and is estimated to reduce processing costs by more than NT$600 million. This technology has tackled the electronic waste pollution in Erren River in Southern Taiwan while promoting collaboration among local communities, environmental groups, and government departments.
