Water Leakage Detection System for Smart City Pipeline Networks.
To accelerate the leak detection rate for underground pipeline networks, ITRI has developed the smart city pipeline leak detection system. This system employs the point-line-plane strategy along with anAI fast-screening mode to help ground personnel rapidly identify the water leakage area. Multiperson reviews can be conducted online in real time to improve the overall leak inspection efficiency and response capability. Highly sensitive ultralow frequency sound probe modules are carried to different locations and can be attached to meters or fire hydrants of the local pipeline network or placed on any ground surface. Gathered data are sent to a cloud platform wirelessly for AI-assisted assessment provided by the acoustic vibration coupling filter leak detection module and the multipoint active sound deterioration diagnostic module.
Applications & Benefits
Currently, the system has been verified with an over 95% accuracy in the Hsinchu and Miaoli region and over 99% accuracy across Taiwan.
