Smart Water & Gas Meter Verification Laboratories.
The use of smart meters to collect, transmit, and monitor utility measurement data has replaced manual meter reading. To secure transaction safety and metrology quality, it is essential to manage and verify the metrology, electronic, and safety performance of smart meters. In compliance with international standards OIML R49 and OIML R137, ITRI established a national-level laboratory that integrates cross-disciplinary technologies including flow measurement, electromagnetic protection, power supply interference, and safety certification. This ensures that the development of type-approval testing technologies and capacities meets relevant standards and regulations.
