ITRI's advanced hydrogen production technology leverages anion exchange membrane (AEM) electrolysis with fast dynamic response. It features a zero-gap membrane-electrode structure and doped non-precious metal electrode technology, reducing energy loss and impedance during hydrogen production. A single unit achieves a power output of 5 kW, boasting a power density 30% higher than international benchmark products. Moreover, it integrates multi-module electrolyzers and heat management modules. Through intelligent control, it adjusts electrolyzer performance and optimizes system power load parameters. Its ability to shift the load from 0 to 100% within one minute ensures quick adaptation to fluctuations in renewable energy supply.

Applications & Benefits

ITRI has collaborated with industry partners on developing a containerized 100 kW water electrolysis hydrogen production module for surplus electricity storage and distributed supply.
