The lack of analysis techniques and tools for the dynamic performance of five-axis machine tools is currently the biggest challenge in the industry. To improve machining quality and efficiency, ITRI developed the Five-Axis Tool Center Point Dynamic Synchronous Response Analysis Technology. It targets the transient state and steady state of running machine tools, automatically calculating the synchronization error value between the reference axis and the comparison axis. With visualization tools such as charts, the technology provides users with rapid analysis within two minutes. It can meet the dynamic performance verification requirements of five-axis machine tools and provide optimization and calibration guidance on synchronous response. By optimizing the dynamic performance of five-axis machine tools and integrating the compensation of volumetric errors, the technology achieves the requirement of ISO workpiece NAS979, which is ≤ 4.6 μm roundness.
