技術簡介

反射式膽固醇液晶顯示器，是以環境光作為光源，省卻背光模組的電力消耗、重量、厚度與成本。此外，亦可克服穿透式LCD因亮度不足，無法在戶外使用的問題。本計畫以黑白電子書用膽固醇液晶配方調配和光電物性之調控研究，從關鍵性旋光分子的分子設計與合成研究到液晶配方的調配、篩選及液晶配方光電物性量測技術，建立一整套有系統之液晶配方微調技術。

Abstract

Reflection type cholesterol liquid crystal display using by the environment light,Saves the back light power consumption, weight, thickness and the cost. In addition, also may overcome transparence type LCD outdoors use question. This program develop black and white cholesteric liquid crystal formulation and optical character, studies from the chiral molecular design and synthesis and screening to the liquid crystal formulations, and photoelectricity measurement technology. Establishes an entire system to liquid crystal technology.

技術特色

透過分子設計來合成旋光性液晶材料，以液晶配方調配技術調整液晶特性，透過光學量測系統建立資料庫。

以材料應用開發為主，包括主要應用在電子書顯示器，GPS衛星定位系統，航運用設備，生產設備，手持式儀器設備，手持式消費電子產品。
