技術簡介

應用3D虛擬實境、分散式資訊處理、網路同步連線與Java軟體與Java 3D等技術所開發之跨平台分散式多人參與虛擬社區,供人們在其中進行虛擬社會活動、交談與遊戲。

Virtual Playground:展示與評估在一個共享之3D虛擬社會裡,人們如何互動、觀摩與學習,因而建立社會運作模式。GSNet:分散式虛擬環境網路協定核心技術。GSClient:分散式虛擬環境應用軟體 Multicast/Broadcast Address Server:提供Multicast-Partitioned Distributed/Broadcast之Addressing。

技術特色

完全分散式的運作管理。支援多重網路協定(TCP,UDP)。支援Multicast/Broadcast 與Client/Server之通訊方式。提供Addressing the range of interest(users)and對multiple zones之運作最佳化。支援即時音訊對話(realtime audio chat)。支援即時文字交談(realtime text chat)。Dynamic loading of data and VRML objects。支援permissions and level of security-有效地保護系統。應用VRML於分散式虛擬環境中。? 軟體語言完全以Java codes and classes為之具有高跨平台與高擴充性之能力。使用Java3D與Open GL提昇虛擬世界的rendering變換效率與品質。

工程協同設計(Engineering Collaborative Design)。虛擬社交活動(Virtual Socialization)行為模擬。多人參與之教育性娛樂性遊戲(Multi-participant Edutainment and Gaming)。虛擬商場或博物館(Commericialized Virtual Mall or Virtual Museum)。
