技術名稱: WAVE/DSRC 通訊協定技術

技術簡介

短距無線通訊技術(DSRC)為車輛與車輛(V2V)、車輛與路側裝置(V2R)以及車輛與行人(V2R)之間進行無線溝通的通訊技術。WAVE/DSRC即美國針對DSRC技術所提出之無線通訊標準。最大特點為其訊息傳遞具低延遲性之特性。圖 1中列出目前主流之無線技術延遲時間比較,可看出WAVE/DSRC技術是最適合作為行車主動安全相關應用之通訊技術,例如當前車緊急煞車時能利用此技術發出訊息來即時警告後方與更後方看不到前車的車輛之駕駛以避免追撞。除此之外還能支援其他一般車載通訊應用,如可利用路側裝置利用WAVE/DSRC提供以位置為基礎的服務(Location Based Service, LBS)等,推播道路資訊至車輛或行人,應用範圍十分廣泛。 工研院資通所專為DSRC已完成研發ITRI WAVE/DSRC技術,符合 IEEE 802.11p (物理層協定)、IEEE 1609 (網路層協定) 及SAE J2735 (無線訊息格式)之美規國際標準;同時也完成ETSI相關歐規DSRC標準。針對車用前裝市場提供耐候、防水與防塵之車載通訊設備,並且根據本技術可應用之需求,整合了3G/3.5G/LTE/WiFi/Bluetooth/CAN BUS 等其他通訊介面,為車載資通訊廠商提供了完整車載通訊應用開發平台,目前此技術亦已獲國際車廠導入測試。

Abstract

DSRC is a wireless communication technology to communicate between vehicle and vehicle (V2V), vehicle and roadside device (V2R), or vehicle to pedestrian (V2P). The most important feature of WAVE/DSRC, the wireless communication standard proposed by US, is delivering safety message in a low latency. Figure 1 shows the comparison of transmission latency for WAVE/DSRC wireless technology and the other existing wireless communication technologies (e.g. WiFi 802.11, Cellular, WiMax, and so forth). We can find that the WAVE/DSRC technology is the most suitable communication technology for developing the active driving safety applications. For example, when the vehicle braking emergency in the front, it can send alert message to warning the later car and the car behinds the later car using this technology to avoid rear-ended collisions. Moreover, WAVE/DSRC can be used for the other telematics applications (e.g., providing the location based service from roadside units) and push the traffic information to vehicle and pedestrian. WAVE/DSRC is designed for a wide range of telematics applications. ITRI ICL has already completed the ITRI WAVE/DSRC Communication Unit (called IWCU), which is compliant with IEEE 802.11p (physical layer protocol) and IEEE 1609 (network layer protocol), and SAE J2735 (message format in air), known as the US WAVE/DSRC standards. And the EU DSRC standards (ETSI protocols) are also complained. We also integrated various communication interfaces (e.g. 3G/3.5G/LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, CAN BUS, and so forth) for different purpose applications. We can say that IWCU is a complete telematics communication development platform. At present, IWCU has been introduced into international motor company for testing.
