技術名稱: 高效能複合式空氣電極研究與製作

技術簡介

本技術報告在於揭露高充放電電壓效率之空氣電池的研究與製備測試,內容以觸媒研究為主,分為兩部份,第一部份為鈣鈦礦結構觸媒研究開發,第二部份則為二氧化錳複合式觸媒之合成應用。鈣鈦礦結構的部份,首先探討製備中孔且高比表面積的觸媒最適配方與製程,實驗結果顯示以三區塊共聚高分子界面活性劑(P123)與燃燒法製備可成功製備中孔洞結構的觸媒,添加P123可有效提高比表面積、孔體積及孔徑。此外,P123的添加可有效抑制其他雜相的生成,得到單相的觸媒。空氣電極材料經50充、放電循環後,電流密度衰退低於2%,本製備方法的鈣鈦礦結構網複合材具有多孔結構,有利於觸媒與反應物質的充分接觸,擴大反應面積,是一簡便且節能的製程。第二部份研究著重於二氧化錳複合式觸媒材料開發,藉由碳粉與α、β、γ相之二氧化錳的混合形成複合觸媒。以及利用P123界面活性劑增加觸媒表面積,使觸媒提升反應面積,進一步提升觸媒電化學效果。最後再加入不同重量比例的奈米金粒子,提升觸媒之導電性與ORR觸媒能力。

Abstract

This report discloses the preparation of air cathode for rechargeable high voltage efficiency metal air batteries. Air electrodes contain several parts, such as catalytic layers, and current collector etc. In this report, the catalyst synthesis and characterizations will be addressed, which is known as a key issue to solve for near future metal air battery applications. There are two parts discussed herein; the first one is the bifunctional catalyst, perovskite structure materials, utilized in the air electrode; the second part is related to the fabrication of manganese oxide based composite catalysts as used in air electrodes. Regarding perovskite preparation, a tri-block copolymer, P123, was used as a template to create porous catalysts with higher specific surface area. Besides, the addition of P123 also increased sample’s crystallinity. The metal air battery single cell test using perovskite materials as catalyst showed stability over 50 recharge cycles and the current density decayed less than 2%. As for manganese oxide composite materials preparation, P123 was added as well resulting in not only surface area increase but also rod-like shape aspect ratio enhancement. Furthermore, gold nanoparticles were mixed with as-prepared MnO2 for better oxygen reduction reaction catalytic capability. Overall, the best voltage efficiency we can make is ~68% by utilizing MnO2/NiFe materials in the catalytic layer of air electrode.
