技術名稱: 超精細金屬導線觸控面板製程

技術簡介

「非黃光之創新卷對卷製程」,將超細導線印刷技術(fine line printing)導入金屬網格(metal mesh)製程,用以取代傳統ITO製成之觸控面板,此舉兼具成本競爭力與環保優勢。以創新設計之卷對卷(R2R)設備與傳輸技術,整合1. <100μm厚度之超薄基板、2. 印製20μm/20μm線寬/線距之超窄邊框與3. <5μm之金屬網格導電層設計,三大特點將可提供業者發展可量產並具備成本優勢之產品。

Abstract

ITRI’s innovative R2R fine-line printing technology replaces photolithography and etching approaches to print metal mesh in less than 5μm. This technology can bring significant environmental and cost advantages. The innovations of ITRI’s R2R technology include three items: 1. Ultra-thin substrates with thickness <100μm, 2. 20μm/20μm line width/line space as frame wire (slim bezel) and 3. Line width <5μm metal mesh structures. This technology provides a production-grand solution with cost advantage.

技術特色

為符合消費性電子產品輕薄的設計趨勢,觸控面板也因應日新月異的產品需求而快速演變。相較於步驟繁複及成本高昂的黃光蝕刻製程,以創新設計的「卷對卷(Roll-to-Roll,R2R)」設備與傳輸技術,將精密導線印刷技術導入觸控面板製程,在超薄基板上以直接印刷方式(direct printing)進行導線製作,只要一台設備就可取代傳統圖案化濺鍍、塗佈到顯影、印製及蝕刻等 7 台機台,導電墨水的材料使用率也從5%提高至95%。而在材料部份,由於傳統銦錫氧化物(ITO)受限於銦為稀有金屬,較昂貴且有缺料之虞,產業界正積極尋求替代方案,卷對卷超細導線印刷技術來印刷金屬網格(Metal Mesh),兼具成本競爭力與環保優勢。
