技術簡介
量子點為LCD帶來廣色域新視野。目前量子點以CdSe效率最優,惟仍有環保與生物相容性議題; 相對環境友善的非鎘系則有效率不彰的問題。如何從增加效益來減少鎘系量子點的用量或是提升非鎘系的效益是業界共同的目標。
Abstract
Quantum dot bring LCD wide color gamut new era. Cadmium-base QD possesses excellent quantum efficiency; however, the environmental and health issue will hinder its future development. On the other hand, non-cadmium QD encounters poor efficiency problem. To raise the competence, a fundamental efficiency improvement is required.

技術特色
工研院開發一種利用微共振腔(μ-cavity)來增益量子點效益的高效率功能薄膜。藉由優異的分散技術,相較商品110μm,本功能薄膜僅5μm,加上平均效率可達3倍,最高可達5倍,整體QD用量也僅需5%。可望為昂貴的量子點帶來加速的未來。
ITRI is developing a novel μ-cavity film technology, a 5 times of enhancement has been achieved. Compared to current 110μm of commercial QDEF, this new technology can reduce to a totally merely 5% usage of Cd-base QD. Concerning the cost issue of QDs, ITRI’s unique technology can bring a progressive future. Moreover, speed up non-Cd QDs a potentially quantum efficiency.
