技術簡介

工研院研發的ITRI Cloud OS（雲端作業系統）為一套全功能（all-in-one）大型雲端資料中心管理系統，與OpenStack相容，適合營運商等級需求的IaaS解決方案。ITRI Cloud OS整合了運算虛擬化、儲存虛擬化和網路虛擬化，同時適用於企業私有雲、公有雲和混合雲的開發建置。此外，ITRI Cloud OS提供VDC（虛擬化資料中心）概念，並設計PDCM（實體資料中心管理）功能，租用者均可自主管理其虛擬化資料中心，並掌握硬體設備狀態。ITRI Cloud O匯集所有IaaS關鍵要素，容易使用並降低進入門檻。

Abstract

ITRI Cloud OS is the dynamic all-in-one turn-key OpenStack enabler for carrier-grade IaaS solutions, enterprise-grade private clouds, operator-grade public clouds, and even hybrid clouds throughout the world. It integrates computing virtualization, storage virtualization, and networking virtualization. In addition to this, ITRI Cloud OS offers a new concept called Virtual Data Center （VDC）. Each tenant can define his or her own virtual data center, which is totally isolated from those of other tenants. ITRI Cloud OS incorporates all the key elements of an IaaS to improve usability and lower the entry barrier.

All-in-one turn-key IaaS ●ITRI Cloud OS incorporates all the key elements of an IaaS operation such as computing, storage, networking, load-balancing, security, and management interface capabilities. Instead of being forced to spend both time and resources to integrate, test, and deploy an IaaS solution, organizations can deploy ITRI Cloud OS and focus on their main business objective of offering IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS service to users. VDC（Virtual Data Center） Administration ●Unlike earlier designs that view a data center as an amalgamation of resources such a storage and VM’s, the ITRI Cloud OS’ VDC oriented implementation provides an abstraction layer that allow the administrator better management. It also has the ability to provide state and performance isolation that end-users are increasingly demanding. PDCM（Physical Data Center Management） ●To manage the physical devices of data center. Multi-dimensional Load-balancing ●With a system-wide perspective, ITRI Cloud OS’ multi-dimensional load-balancing architecture covers areas such as computing, network, storage, and thermal management. This design lowers the initial capital costs and ongoing operating expenses. OpenStack Compatibility ●ITRI Cloud OS is a dynamic all-in-one turn-key OpenStack enabler for carrier-grade deployments. It incorporates all the key elements of an IaaS to improve usability and lower the entry barrier.

技術特色

ITRI Cloud OS可藉由DISCO介接OpenStack Cinder而與OpenStack之儲存功能整合。工研院研發的高效能分散式區塊儲存（Distributed Block Storage）解決方案，具備高可用性、自行修復、多方複製、去重複、磁碟卷快速複製和資料中心對資料中心備份等多項功能。 同時ITRI Cloud OS亦藉由工研院研發的Peregrine介接OpenStack Neutron與OpenStack之網路功能整合。Peregrine可支援網路動態路徑管控規劃，並能快速容錯移轉（fast failover），能有效地大幅提高網路資源利用率及速率。Peregrine提供VLAN架構的網路虛擬化、動態路徑規劃、快速容錯移轉，並支援商用乙太網路交換器（Ethernet switch）。 此外，ITRI Cloud OS更具備良好的軟硬體監控解決方案，收集與集中管理Virtual Machine及Physical Device的各項資訊，提供運營商即時告警及相關資訊，降低任何可能的功能障害風險。 ITRI Cloud OS支援高可用性、即時升級，且不會被供應商綁定等優勢。
