技術名稱: 資料中心PUE量測技術

技術簡介

為解決國內機房能源使用效率量測上所面臨的未有具共識、一致化的量測程序,以及尚未有普遍的能源使用效率水準資訊,本計畫以國際間建議之PUE為指標,採用由美國能源局、美國環保署等單位共同建議之PUE量測作法Category 1為基礎,建立適用於國內之PUE量測作法。計畫中實際訪查66座學術單位、政府機關以及業界機房,提出10個國內機房之機房樣態以及對應之PUE量測作法。並透過對41座國內學術單位、政府機關及業界機房,進行以一週為單位之暫態量測,以及大於6個月的長期量測,並以量測結果為基礎,進行受量測機房之PUE推估。此結果為國內第一次在相同量測基礎下,較具規模之PUE量測結果。

Abstract

For lack of common agreement and standardized measuring process in respect of measuring power usage effectiveness for data center and absence of commonly used energy effectiveness information, this project is to develop relevant domestic PUE measuring methods by using internationally suggested PUE as index and adopting U.S. DOE and U.S. EPA suggested measuring methods in Category 1 as base. In this project, total 66 academic institutes, government units and industry data centers are inquired, and 10 domestic data center types as well as their correspondent PUE measuring methods are presented. Furthermore, PUE of data centers are estimated according to the result of weekly transient-state measurements and over six month long-term measurements in 41 academic institutes, government units and data centers in industry. Upon the same measuring base, this is the first time to have a result of domestic larger scaled PUE measurements.
