為台灣農業找新機 生質新經濟,小兵立大功

一般人總覺得農村生活寧靜安逸,農民樂天知命,
這些帶有懷舊情愫的想像,其實忽略了
依賴耕種為生的農民長期處於經濟相對不佳的窘境。

為協助在地農產業升級,以及台灣農業轉型,
工研院南分院投入生態材料技術的研發,
透過碳化、萃取、發酵等技術,
將台灣擁有的豐富生物資源,提升其成分及價值,
為原本平價、獲利有限的農產品,找到更高附加價值的發展方向,
進而帶動整體產業的轉型與升級。

本期封面故事介紹的三個案例,
包括將池上米碾米後所剩的稻殼,透過碳化成為高價肥料;
將台東原住民採食的樹豆,加工製作成可外銷日本的納豆;
也利用萃取技術,將台東特產洛神花,製成飲料及養生食品,
透過工研院的生質技術輔導,將研發能量轉化成競爭力,
讓特色農產品經濟價值再提升,創造出差異化的未來金雞母。

綠金風潮新趨勢,讓原本毫無價值的稻殼、不起眼的樹豆,
以及產值不高的洛神花,有了改寫身價的機會,
創造出無可限量的生質新經濟。
