ITRI's Smart Sensing and System Technology Center
ITRI's Smart Sensing and System Technology Center is Taiwan's leading R&D institution for sensing technology, and the nation's only core laboratory for smart sensing technology spanning the full spectrum from research and development to pilot production. The Center develops advanced sensing chips and modules, multi-sensor fusion, and AI edge-computing technologies to support industrial upgrading and transformation.
In response to the global reshaping of supply chains and the growing demand for economic security, the Center is deepening international connections while strengthening its roots in Taiwan's local industrial supply chain. Guided by the goals of "international foresight and leadership, industrial resilience and self-reliance, and empowering every industry," the Center is driving the localization of key components and core technologies, building a globally competitive and resilient ecosystem, and establishing itself as a global hub for the research and development of critical smart sensing technologies.
