ITRI's Mechanical Domain has taken the lead in launching a comprehensive academia–research collaboration initiative, actively promoting interdisciplinary integration and talent cultivation. Through the Mechanical Research Collaboration Platform, ITRI partners with universities across Taiwan to integrate its mechanical R&D capabilities while connecting with industry to strengthen collaboration and communication among academia, research institutes, and enterprises.
Our purpose is to advance core technologies in smart machinery and manufacturing, intelligent mobility, and semiconductor process equipment through integrated hardware and software system development. R&D achievements are continuously transferred to industry to accelerate innovation and enhance industrial competitiveness.
The platform focuses on three core technology pillars: Precision, Intelligence, and Sustainability. Its R&D is centered on four strategic areas:
