ITRI and Mackay Memorial Hospital joined forces with companies such as Compal Electronics, Shennona Corp, Atayalan Taiwan, and Techman Robot to develop the 5G Remote Abdominal Ultrasound Telemedicine Technology. This technology addresses the needs of medical care providers, allowing for remote abdominal ultrasound scans to be performed via the low latency, high bandwidth, and wide connectivity of 5G networks.
Applications & Benefits
As a result, rural residents can access the diagnostic and treatment services of hospital specialists. This technology is expected to evolve to include a wider range of medical examination alternatives, offering more medical care options for remote areas.
