Positive Pressure Testing Booth.
he Positive Pressure Testing Booth was developed to protect frontline medical workers against virus exposure and eliminate the need to wear stuffy personal protective equipment when taking samples. Its freestanding telephone booth design reduces possible infection risks, and the patented positive pressure mechanism prevents polluted air from entering. The cleanliness level is equivalent to a Class 1000 cleanroom, which is higher than surgical rooms in hospitals. With air conditioning and heating installed, the temperature and humidity inside remain at a comfortable level in any weather conditions, while the energy-saving technology limits power consumption to less than 10 kWh per day. Moreover, the dual-sided feature of the booth increases sampling capacity, allowing a maximum of 300 samples to be collected per day. The modular design enables rapid assembly and installation. A single testing booth can be put up within only 1.5 hours.

During the local COVID-19 outbreak, ITRI built 180 testing booths for hospitals and communities in 21 cities within 45 days, creating a risk-free working environment for health workers.
