High-Value Eco-Material Processing Technology

Technology Overview

In order to quickly deal with large quantities of a single type of agricultural processing waste on an economic scale, ITRI has developed high-value processing technology for eco-material. This has successfully helped companies treat more than 6,000 tons/year of lemon peel waste and save 6 million NTD in removal costs. ITRI has developed low-cost and high-value silage feed and natural pectin by silage treatment technology from HEMP Technology, which can improve the milk production and meat quality of cattle, while producing high-priced pectin applications to increase the value-added of lemon peel.

Applications & Benefits

Different from other drying and granulation techniques, ITRI’s technology can achieve energy saving and nutrient-retaining effects for related industries such as dairy cows, beef cattle and food processing, creating an agricultural recycling industry ecosystem and assisting operators to develop business opportunities in the feed and food markets. Such an operating model can be replicated in southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia to create international industrial benefits.
