Car Battery Module Anti-burning Material

Technology Overview

In addition to the need to consider the cell body, the safe battery module needs to be integrated into the overall design of the mechanism and battery management. Dimensional arrangement and cost are the main considerations for the design of general battery packs, but they usually ignore the effect of the burnout caused by an abnormal explosion of a single cell, which may trigger the explosion of the chain reaction of the entire battery.

Applications & Benefits

The anti-burning composite material developed by ITRI has the characteristics of high thermal conductivity, high strength, impact resistance, flame retardant and anti-burning. Therefore, this material is very suitable for replacing the plastic materials of the existing battery pack cell supporting mechanism and outer casing. It can effectively suppress the effect of the burnout when the cell is abnormal, and greatly improve the safety of the battery pack.
