Technology Overview
ITRI has developed ground station equipment for low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites. Utilizing self-developed array antenna RF chips and a beam tracking algorithm, this system enables satellite ground equipment to connect with LEO satellites
within one second, a speed 11 times faster than that of an F16 fighter jet. This technology enables video streaming to overcome challenges posed by distance, rapid satellite movement, and environmental factors. Building on this innovation,
ITRI is poised to seize opportunities in the space communication market.
Applications & Benefits
ITRI's technologies have supported ICT manufacturers in structuring the LEO satellite ground equipment architecture and interface design, mastering independent ground equipment technology, and entering the top three global
satellite manufacturers' supply chains. ITRI continues to promote the mass production of advanced ground equipment, and strives to achieve the productization of satellite communication payload (CPL) technology, empowering local industries to excel in the evolving satellite sector.
