LTE-A Small Cell System and Smart Antenna Technology.
Nowadays, ITRI successfully develops software-defined radio (SDR) essential technology, self-organizing network (SON) system, radio resource management (RRM) technology, smart antenna baseband cross-layer control technology, and multibeam antenna technologies and modules.
ITRI also builds up the total solution of next generation LTE HeNB small cell base station, which reaches product quality and provides a sound reference design and platform, and can be used to verify a commercial end-product or interoperability between commercial LTE UE and core network.
Applications & Benefits
With the small cell and smart antenna technology and the development of total solution, ITRI assists Taiwan IC and system companies to step across the gap of the smart antenna technology and IP in small cell and access point (AP) and move forward to the development of low-power base-station product.
Meanwhile, ITRI helps Taiwan antenna industry reduce licensing fee and aim at high unit-price small cell and AP, through improving autonomy, increasing differentiation, optimizing performance, and reducing cycle time of product development.
