Immersion Cooling Technology for Edge Data Centers is effective in reducing power consumption and carbon emissions by immersing servers in a cooling rack filled with non-conductive coolant to accelerate heat dissipation. Due to its high cooling efficiency, the Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) can reach 1.06, cutting carbon emissions by 40%.
Applications & Benefits
ITRI has been cooperating with local server hosting providers and Japan‘s telecom operators while linking the supply chains from Japan, the US and Taiwan to integrate servers, computer equipment, cooling tanks, coolants, and monitoring software. A comprehensive server cooling solution for edge data centers was thereby presented and has successfully tested operation in subtropical climates.
